Nataliya Shokurova is a Senior Manager at Perun Consultants.

Nataliya specialises in investigations of fraud, forensic accounting engagements, litigation support work and business valuations.

Her experience includes working on and leading complex projects involving provision of expert witness evidence (expert reports and litigation support), investigation of allegations of fraud, minority oppression cases, reconstruction of financial records, corporate advisory and business valuations.

Prior to joining Perun, she served as a Director of Finance & Administration for Chinese operations of a top European publicly listed IT company. A fluent Mandarin speaker, Nataliya led a team in charge of all aspects of financial and day-to-day operations.

Representative engagements

• Prepared an independent forensic accounting Expert Report in a criminal prosecution case to address the circumstances surrounding the charges.

•  Prepared an independent forensic accounting Expert Report in unfair prejudice case involving a tech company based in Singapore (quantum SGD250k plus damages).

•  Assisted in preparation of an independent forensic accounting Expert Report in an alleged fraud case involving misappropriation of funds of a large and profitable family-run serviced apartment business as well as other investments in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Fiji  (in excess of HKD1 billion).

•  Led preparation of an independent forensic accounting Expert Report in a case involving investor losing USD18 million that he had placed with a Singapore Bank.

•  Assisted in preparation of an independent forensic accounting Expert Report in a shareholder dispute involving iron ore transportation vessels, investment property and precious stones business located in Singapore (quantum SGD 500 million).

•  Provided litigation support, prepared demonstrative evidence and conducted forensic investigation for arbitration proceedings involving an investment fund and allegations of misappropriation USD200+ million.

•  Provided advisory to an investment group in connection with a minority shareholders’ buyout.

• Assisted in the liquidation of Chinese representative office of a global agricultural group.

• Prepared group consolidated statements, including conversion / translation from Chinese GAAP to IFRS for publicly listed company.

• Designed efficient company procedures for daily business operations, set up company’s internal control systems.

• Participated in preparation of annual budget plan, prepared monthly control figures, budget vs actuals comparison and analysis.
