Pang has more than 20 years of experience in corporate recovery, restructuring, insolvency management, receivership, judicial management, monitoring accountant and litigation support services. He was the first to implement corporate voluntary arrangements with distressed companies in Malaysia.

Pang previously worked at a Malaysian bank specialising in corporate recovery, restructuring and rehabilitation, prior to joining an international consulting firm where he was involved in various Scheme of Arrangements to revive abandoned projects and restructure the financials of distressed companies.

Representative engagements

• Led negotiations with management teams, interested bidders, bankers, and lawyers to navigate insolvency processes effectively.

• Identified and managed company assets for eventual disposal, ensuring maximum value recovery.

• Conducted thorough investigations of company accounts to identify potential legal violations.

• Formulated, planned, and executed schemes of arrangement, including formal and informal negotiations with creditors, bankers, lawyers, and management teams.

• Successfully revived a commercial complex in Kuala Terengganu, shop offices in Sungai Buloh, and a residential apartment in Kota Kinabalu.

• Completed four Corporate Voluntary Arrangement exercises, leading to successful corporate turnarounds. Thereafter assisted the Nominee to implement the arrangements as approved by creditors.

• Accomplished various Scheme of Arrangements to revive abandoned projects and restructure significant debt portfolios.

• Acting as chairman for a creditors' meeting with an audience of over 3,000 attendees, ensuring effective communication and resolution.

• Assisted Judicial Manager for Scheme of Arrangements to address the debts of distressed companies, subsequently implementing the Scheme to resuscitate the financials of the companies.

• Attended to court cases as witness in Malaysia and Singapore. Represented the company in court litigation to recover debts exceeding RM100 million.

• Sourced potential buyers for the realisation of assets in liquidation/receivership engagements.
